Doug Ford to slash the number of Toronto councillors – July 27, 2018

Well to my surprise Doug Ford makes a conservative move to shrink Government. Wow! that’s refreshing, it’s almost like dare I say… Doug Ford is making good on his campaign promise to rid Ontario of Wasteful spending.

Oddly enough this story made more news than the Pipe Bomb found in Toronto. I guess it’s because most a large number of Canadians love the idea of growing the government. “A job for everyone, yea!” Personally, I hope there are more public servant cutbacks on the way because the truth is one of these days the political pendulum in Ontario is going to swing back left so it’s important that while Doug Ford is in there he does what he can to make sure that Ontario doesn’t go bankrupt.

I’m guilty of calling the Conservative Party of Canada conservatives of Liberal policies, most of the time a conservative takes office all they do is a better job managing Liberal disasters than Liberals, which is why when Liberals take back the house they have to go further left. If a sane person were to listen to Justin Trudeau’s policies while he was running for office, they’ed clearly see that Justin was clueless. Canada is was having economic problems while Stephen Harper was claiming to shrink the deficit. Justin Trudeau promised to increase deficit spending and increase government spending, to make matters worse the prior Premier Kathlyynne Wynne was having a fantastic time wasting Ontario’s money too!

To add to this fun debt party American’s decided to hire Donald Trump, one of the things Donald Trump doesn’t do is slash deficit spending, but to make up for it, Donald Trump cuts regulations. Canada, on the other hand, increased regulations and taxes under Justin Trudeau, which is why Canadians have gotten poorer with larger government. However, if you look at the numbers it would appear that because of inflation Canadians have actually gotten richer.

This is why in the end Liberals should be Liberals and conservatives should be conservatives. I appreciate Doug Ford for at least trying to cut back the size of government. I hope he does more because eventually these Leftists are going to win and bring us more socialism and every country has a breaking point and Canada is approaching it.
