Ford accuses media, pollsters of conspiring against Ontario PC victory in email blasts
Based on the well-publicized history of the Ford family, I’d be lying if I said that it would be entirely the media’s fault if Doug Ford lost the election to the NDP. The mere fact that Andrea Horwath made the provincial race a close one to me is an indication that the Canadian economy is going to have to collapse eventually anyway. Being that Doug Ford isn’t exactly the most articulate conservative in modern Canadian history is an indication to me at least that for the most part, going forward Ontarians will continue to expect to get something for nothing.

The entities and the people backing the NDP want to hold the “rich” accountable, they want to put more constraints on the private sector, these leftists want to put constraints on your freedom of speech, they want to enact and institute socialism. Even if Canadians don’t fully understand how communism and socialism work, they should at the very least know that everything as a price. In Canada, we’ve enjoyed a standard of living higher than the rest of the world without the NDP. When the NDP came into power in Ontario under Bob Rae, things got so bad that Bob Rae became a Liberal.
What really happened was Bob Rae realized that in order for his economic schemes to work the government would have to become a lot larger, and by a lot larger it meant that he’d have to hire more full-time government employees, increasing his government’s payroll which therefore meant that he wouldn’t be able to make good on all the promises he made to voters. Plus as the government grows, the private sector shrinks, no child wants mommy and daddy watching over every single thing they do.
No adult, no business person wants to be ridiculed anytime a government feels like they’ve made too much money. So companies leave or they stop investing, which leads to things like the Liberal government giving Toyota $100 million dollars to stay in Canada, which leads to things like unions forming to add regulations to protect workers interests, which then leads to corporate welfare and the elimination of small businesses.
Small businesses in Canada are disappearing, and the reasons stem from Liberal and NDP policies, what’s worse, however, is that the Progressive conservatives have basically become the maintenance party of the NDP and Liberals. There’s one thing I’ve liked about Doug Ford. Doug Ford hasn’t made any promises, my hope is that Doug Ford slashes spending, shrinks the size of government and renegotiates or doesn’t renew some of these government contracts. but we’ll see.
My position is simple I’d much rather the economic crash happen sooner than later, we in Ontario need a wake-up call, a minority Ford government is good in my opinion especially if the NDP and Liberals block everything Ford tries to do. This way when the economic crash happens Ford will have a platform to explain to Canadians why the economic crash happened. If Doug Ford wins a majority government the crash will happen anyway, however, he’ll get a majority of the blame, even if the root causes came from the NDP and Liberals.
The coming crash despite what most Canadians think isn’t going to hurt people working, in fact, it might be a stimulus for working Canadians, the people that will be affected most by the coming crash are the entitled classes, the welfare recipients, the Unions, the retired on fixed government income people, those dependent on their investments producing an income, those with overpriced mortgages, those overly in retail debt. The rest of Canadians will be fine, the financially responsible Canadians will be fine when this crash occurs, but if a member of the NDP or Liberal are in power when this crash happens what they’ll do is perpetuate the crash.
As an example, if Andrea Horwath wins the election and an economic crash happens what Andrea Horwath will do is she’ll blame the rich for the crash, then she’ll go after the middle class, you may ask how will she go after the middle class? She’ll do this by adding more economic regulations to the rich corporations which they’ll gladly accept because this raises the cost of doing business, therefore, eliminating the chances of a small startup from ever competing with them.
It’s important that Ontarians understand that Andrea Horwath has never owned or operated a business she’s never had to make/meet payroll using private sector funds, she has limited experience in economics, and she doesn’t understand trade-offs. People like Andrea Horwath assume there is a specific law or a set of specific laws that the government can enact that will solve all of Canada’s problems.
When leftist enact these laws and they fail politicians like Andrea Horwath don’t say “I’m sorry, my plans didn’t work” no politicians like Andrea Horwath will then enact another regulation and then another and another and that’s how countries like China, Russian and Venezuela are formed. It’s a progression, it happens in small increments. I’ve been writing over and over again about Canada being in blatant violation of NAFTA.
As Canadians, we’ve been violating NAFTA for so long that we feel entitled to do it. The reason we as Canadians have been violating NAFTA revolves around our social safety nets, in order for politicians to meet the needs of our people we have to violate NAFTA because if we don’t our regulations vs. U.S regulations put us at a severe economic disadvantage especially with a political figure like Donald Trump in the White House.
This thinking has also lead to Canadians feeling a sense of economic privilege and entitlement, most Canadians don’t know how to negotiate. If Justin Trudeau made a meeting with the U.S president a priority before retaliating with his own tariffs he’d easily be able to get to the bottom of why Trump has wanted to renegotiate NAFTA. But because we as Canadians have been living the high life for so long we think it’s our right to dishonor the Noth American Free Trade agreement.
How this relates to this article is that to me, the mere fact that because the Liberals have no chance in winning this upcoming provincial election, voters would rather find a way to continue down the path of economic destruction. This is a sign to me that an economic collapse is inevitable. I’m rooting for Doug Ford but if Andrea Horwath wins and wins big the economic the collapse will happen sooner than we think.
interesting times ahead
