maxmyspeed scam

Posted on July 11, 2011 by RichInWriters

Is maxmyspeed.com a scam

First thing I want to make clear is that I’m not here to bash maxmyspeed.com or tell people what to do with their money. Maxmyspeed.com does provide a pretty decent service and you can get a computer diagnosis for free using them. My issue comes once you start talking about the cost of Maxmyspeed.com and also it comes with my personal expectations if there is a cost involved. As you can imagine there are lots of companies that have 5 star cnet ratings that will clean your PC free of charge that being said in order for me to endorse a product like Maxmyspeed.com it would have to do something that the free services do not.

Maxmyspeed.com Commercial

I was first directed to Maxmyspeed.com through their T.V commercial it was very convincing and forced me to check out what it had to offer. Unfortunately I was personally disappointed because based on their T.V commercial I thought what they would have offer would be a lot better than their competition most of whom are doing the same thing for free I think that’s why some people are calling Maxmyspeed.com a scam and leaving complaints.

Maxmyspeed Complaints

The common complaints for this software is that most people download it or purchase it with the hope that maxmyspeed.com will remove and/or delete malicious viruses, spyware and malware from their computers. Unfortunately maxmyspeed.com cannot make such a promise as a matter a fact no company can make such a promise. What this software’s does is point out problems and delete and or fix whatever they can. It’s your job to prevent viruses from entering your computer in the first place, the only thing maxmyspeed.com and other cleaning software’s can do is point out the problem and or delete if the problem hasn’t spread.

For the record most viruses spread or even sometimes remain dormant, these problems most of the time are impossible to fix or to delete. maxmyspeed.com is a part of CyberDefender company so if you want to learn more about them I recommend you visit the CyberDefender website.

Final thoughts on maxmyspeed.com

Personally I don’t think max my speed is a scam they’re providing a service and believe they should be paid a reasonable fee. Personally I won’t be using them but I encourage you to if they have what you’re looking for. They’re a legit company and to the best of my knowledge they’re very good to their customers. The problem you might encounter if you use a free registry cleaner is terrible customer support not only that with free registry cleaners it might take some time before they make an update.

This is where services like maxmyspeed.com come in. It’s a paid service so updates are almost always guaranteed, plus they’re with a parent company that has a pretty good track record. On the flip side if you’re looking for a free registry cleaner I recommend visiting CNET and looking up CCleaner or you can visit them by going to http://download.cnet.com/ccleaner/

(look for maxmyspeed and delete it)

and… it did NOT work, BUT…

after that I went to the “Safe Mode”

(control panel + admin tools + system configuration)

    and being in Safe Mode,

I did the same (uninstall the program looking for maxmyspeed and deleted it)

    I do restart and

    IT WORKS !!!

I have restarted 3 times and the maxmyspeed pop-up doesn’t appear anymore!!!

So try and please let me know, I am not an IT guy, so…
