Is Ontario ready for Andrea Horwath and the NDP? June 4, 2018
As a believer in freedom and volunteerism, the thought of an NDP majority admittedly makes me nervous. I’ve tried to embed some NDP advertisements into this post in order to give my readers a look into the ideology of these leftist individuals. Ontario is as rich as it is currently because of the private sector, in the below advertisement which can be found blick clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq35D4QFewY Andrea Horwath asks the “Rich” to pay a little more. The basis of Andrea Horwath asking the rich to pay more is all about fulfilling her parties ideological needs. Andrea Horwath doesn’t detail to followers that in order for her dreams to be realized she has to take from one private sector group and give to another.
Corporatism is a term reserved for the extreme left unless of course, the NDP is planning on nationalizing everything.
Nurses, doctors, nurses aids, the medications nurses give to patients, the hospital beds, the medical tools, the ambulances, almost every medical tool you can think of comes from the private sector. Most of the medical tools aren’t made in Canada, mainly because left-leaning politicians tend to regulate Canadian businesses out of existence. This idea that the “rich” should pay a little more, the question one should ask is how does Andrea Horwath plan on doing that?
Is she going to nationalize industries or force businesses to keep their headquarters in Ontario?
Quebec used to have a larger population than Ontario until they started implementing many of the ideas Andrea Horwath has in store for Ontario
In the free world people and the entities they represent have choices, make no mistake about it, the NDP has it’s rooted in socialism. The merger of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC) created the NDP. Socialism removes individual choice for the what its followers deem as the greater good. The problem with this ideology is it removes incentives.
There is no incentive for private sector to go along with this redistributionist, corporatists model of economic governance. Companies can simply leave Ontario or simply shut down when companies shut down the typically aren’t replaced, because when businesses do their research track the history and read the tax code it’s usually an indicator why a business entity shouldn’t do business in this region of the world. What this ultimately leads to is big corporations who require corporate welfare to stick around.
Recently, the Liberal government gave Toyota $100+ million dollars as an incentive to stay in Canada. That’s what has to happen in order to keep big corporations in heavily taxed regions. Big companies have choices and when Andrea Horwath says “the rich should pay a little more” she’s not talking about the Big Canadian banks, the Walmarts, the Amazons no she’s talking about EMPLOYEES AND SMALL BUSINESSES who are already taxed and overly regulated.
The main reason why I don’t like minimum wage laws
In case Canadians haven’t noticed most small businesses that aren’t owned by families are disappearing. Family owned businesses actually exercise tax loopholes, that the average small business can’t exercise. Why that you ask? Family owned and operated businesses don’t have to abide by minimum wage laws if I have a large tight nit family, I don’t have to pay my family members with cash, whereas a new startup may not have that same luxury.
Now because of this, you might notice that cohesive families or groups of individuals are granted an economic advantage over others from the start, therefore a great business idea may not even be able to get off the ground because start-up costs would be too high. How the NDP corrects this is they redistribute money to the people or business entities they deem the most worthy and this is how and why they repel jobs everywhere they go.
“You’re too rich” or “you’ve made too much money” by the NDP’s standards and therefore you’re deserving of a higher tax and more regulations. We will take the money we the NDP will then take the money from the people we deem unworthy and give it to the people or corporate entities we deem more worthy. This is the NDP people, this is also how most Union members think, what most unions do is they decide or want to have the ability to decide how much of a privately owned companies money should be spent by the employees who choose to work there.
A leftist will often refute what I’m writing by saying something like those owners are rooks and should pay their workers more, but why don’t the union workers quit? we’ll they don’t quit because they’re comfortable and not only are they comfortable at their jobs they want everybody else to pay to protect their comfort. In 2018, there has never been a greater time to be an entrepreneur, with technology where it is I don’t think people in Engineering realize what a powerful position they’re in, I don’t think trained and educated professionals realize the powerful position they’re in.
The NDP to me are dream killers, Andrea Horwath to me reminds me of a teacher that I had in middle school. this teacher used to annoy me so much because she’d allow the bad kids to disrupt the class. The smart obedient kids would often get the least attention and this teacher wouldn’t punish the bad kids instead she thought it would be better to let the bad kids talk themselves out. I remember that teacher because she was the only teacher that never sent a bad student to the principal’s office. In my opinion, that teacher was lenient not only because she was weak but because she thought she’s helping the bad kids by keeping them out of trouble. So she left the bad kids to disrupt the rest of us. I hated that class and I didn’t like that teacher either.
What are the pros to an NDP government in Ontario?
Well, with socialism and socialist what you’ll want to do if you’re a parasite is get your free stuff early on, don’t wait until the smaller private sector jobs start leaving and the Ontario economy gets stagnant. Any of the free stuff she’s promising will dwindle away soon enough and be replaced with NDP scandals. In order for socialism to work, they have to redistribute the money they get from taxpayers into private sector entities they deem deserving, so what tends to happen with Liberals and the NDP is that where tax dollars are going to go become more and more obvious. Which of course breeds greed and backdoor deals, yes the conservatives do it too, it’s just most of these scandals wouldn’t exist without the Leftist.
So currently Andrea Horwath is asking the rich to pay a little more, the question you’ll want to ask is, a little more for what? Where is the paying a little more money going to go? It’s going to go to private or public sector workers Andrea Horwath and her political party deems worthy? So the pros to an NDP government is bigger government, more job protections and benefits for unions, welfare recipients and large ESTABLISHED corporate entities which will be incentivized to allow unions to form under their corporate umbrellas. So that they can get more perks and advantages from the government.
The problem with most Canadians is they don’t understand the real world, in case you haven’t noticed in Canada a lot of small businesses are being replaced by large corporate entities, who are given tax breaks and who are making it very hard for young Canadians to become successful entrepreneurs. The upcoming elections will give me a better idea of what’s really going on in Ontario.
Interesting times ahead.
