Public Sector Greed: The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) go on strike putting personal wants ahead of the children – February 6, 2020,
Most humans who join labour unions collectively don’t imagine themselves as greedy, furthermore, most parents, who’ve become accustomed to imagining that society can’t function without pubic school teachers, typically don’t fully comprehend what’s really happening when a PUBLIC SERVANT is going on strike. Let’s ignore the money for a second and focus on people who work for the public. Are these pubic workers being forced to do their jobs? The answer is no, they can quit if they feel they’re being wronged, the reality is they’re not being wronged, these public school teachers refuse to quit their cushy jobs because they’re greedy.
No, personally, it’s clear to me that the average person in Ontario has no idea as to why the public school system is crumbling. The reality is that every time the teachers get more money from the government, they find a way to give themselves a pay raise. Now, the purchasing of school supplies and maintenance related to school supplies get sucked up by teachers’ ever-rising salaries which don’t allow the money to reach the students.
In the private sector, wages have been stagnant since the 1990s because technology and technological advancements have actually lowered the cost of living and raised the standard of living, so what should have happened in Canada, is wages should have remained stagnant, but the cost of goods and services should have deflated. I’m writing this blog post on an internet that was afforded to me in the 1990s and the costs for me to publish blog posts is the same in 2020 as it was in 1996.
The price for paper has also remained rather flat because with technology there’s less demand for it, now, the only cost for Canadians that has been rising unnecessarily are Government related costs, that’s the only reason the cost of living in Canada is so high. I keep having to remind Canadians that we forget we’re bordered with the United States. Now, its common knowledge in Canada that in order to prevent America business from flooding Canada with lower-priced goods and service our government has to put up strict trade barriers, these trade barriers Canada has with the United States, force prices up, higher prices equate to higher taxes and higher taxes go to public servants, who then unionize and greedily ask for even more money.
The teachers strike in Ontario is pure greed, I only write these post for educational purposes, with that said, Ontarian taxpayers have the right to remain stupid. These teachers strike because Ontarians are too lazy and too scared to tell them to go back to work. Personally I don’t see the need for public schools anymore, but the reality is Canadians are infected with Leftism disease, which allows us to believe that this dog and pony show between Canada’s public sector and the Government won’t lead to an economic collapse.
I’m writing these posts for the same reason Noah built the ark in the bible. There’s a storm coming, it’s an economic storm and you’ll want to prepare yourself accordingly, because when this storm hits Canada, loans that were once cheap, might become more expensive to service in the future, Canada has already sold off its Gold Reserves.
Interesting times ahead!
