Social Media Shuts Down Alex Jones and President Trump Speaks Up!
Well, one thing for sure when it comes to Donald Trump he doesn’t forget about his friends. He doesn’t seem to forget about the people that got him to where he is, which from my standpoint equates to why his children are so well mannered and refined. Being that Donald Trump has a larger than life personality, one would assume that his children would resemble the Kardashians, but no, his children all of them at least as of this publication appear to be outstanding human beings. I say this because based on my personal experiences, I find that people with morals tend to raise the best children.
Now morals can be subjective at times however if a person of authority has morals, regardless of what those morals are that person children will grow to love and admire them. It’s human nature to ignore another person’s flaws as long as the actions of that individual are consistent. “Well, that’s just dad being dad” I begin this post saying this primarily because Alex Jones was a huge supporter of Donald Trump, in many ways Alex Jones put his entire career on the line for current President-elect Trump ad well, in my opinion, minus Twitter, social media has colluded to shut Jones down. Most right-leaning individuals who don’t use Christianity as their means to teach people about individual responsibility have found that the tech geeks of the world have turned on them.
The assumption being made by leftist thinkers is that they think they can see where the people who right leaning are going with their individual responsibility thinking. My thoughts regarding social media shutting down people like Alex Jones is… It’s about damn time. I don’t understand the thinking of people sometimes, personally, if I were Alex Jones I would have built an independent media platform the moment I started getting any traction. I would have used Social media where I could, but I would have been so far removed from them that when I was deplatformed, I’d probably barely notice a difference.
Maybe I’ve been online for too long, but I remember when Facebook was a little company, personally I like the idea of the Myspace story. Based on the actions of Facebook and other privately owned companies I think this move is going to hurt them in the long run. Facebook, Youtube, and others have already drawn a line in the sand and what’s interesting now is what type of social media experiment is created next?
Right now as I speak there are smart conservatives dreaming up something brand new that in time will rival Youtube. I should have also mentioned that the Youtube ban on Alex Jones hurt me more than Facebook and others. Because the Youtube ban reminded me of cable television. I seldom if ever watch Television anymore because it’s clearer than ever that when I watch Television I’m watching a group of people who because of regulations are selling me a bill of goods. When I watch television I can now see the propaganda in it, which for me makes it hard for me to stomach.
Youtube was an escape from the propaganda, I’ve even come to hate late night comedians (except for Conan O’Brien) because the jokes are politicised and these jokes are politicised because the people behind the curtains of these shows are trying to sell a narrative. I don’t like to watch puppet shows, I’ve always hated puppet shows, I like when a comedian just lets it fly, piss off people no matter who they are. That’s what artists are supposed to do. Recently Aretha Franklin died, her new life story is worthy of a biography played by a top-level actress. Imagine if her beautiful voice had been compromised by a group of people that wanted to make sure that her voice and her songs represented their ideology? How would her career have played out?
Trump was right to tweet the following:
Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices. Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen. They are closing down the opinions of many people on the RIGHT, while at the same time doing nothing to others…….
But I also believe that it’s the right of Facebook and Youtube to silence whomever they want on their platform. Now, I’ve heard the people who oppose this many claiming that most of these social media sites receive government welfare. Yes, you’re right, but there aren’t enough people who are opposed to government welfare for tech giants standing up in the face of tyranny, which is why it’s my opinion that Alex Jones and others like him, should have done what even I’ve done years ago which is create and focus on my own platform and invest in ideas from people that believe in freedom.
So, I make myself clearer, I can’t walk into McDonalds or Walmart with a bullhorn spewing my truth in their store, claim I have rights to spew my truth in their private establishment because they’ve received government money and then when I get kicked out I act like I’m the victim. It’s still a private establishment and quite frankly maybe their donors don’t like me. Who knows, who cares, what I should have done if I had a problem with Walmart or McDonalds is start my own supermarket or restaurant chain and if it turns out that it’s harder than I expected, well, well, well that would be my admission that maybe they were in their rights to kick me out.
What I have going on is small in scope, but it serves me well and it gives me the freedom to do what I choose and say what I want. If what I’m going to write about is controversial, I turn off the advertising that doesn’t want to be a part of that, I may even start a new blog. That’s my thinking, that’s how I approach things, in life, it’s all about barter if you don’t believe in the laws of bartering and you put your trust in a source or sources you have no control over well you deserve what you get.
With that said I think Youtube, Facebook, and the others made a mistake on this one. It’s stances like this that for the market to create something new, being that Facebook and Youtube have set a precedence and a path forward it’s only a matter of time that we see something new… That is unless the Leftist take more authoritative measures to suppress the free market economy.
Interesting times ahead
