Universal Basic Income Requires a Productive Private Sector: Maryam Shah asks Is it time for a basic income? – April 22, 2020,
People should remember these times because these are the times when the politicians and the mainstream media begin losing control. Why didn’t we begin society with a universal basic income? Why doesn’t India and Africa forget about trying to improve their standard of living via hard work and simply create a universal basic income?
Well, it’s because society a society needs productive people working in the private sector earning enough money to tax and redistribute to the less productive people. The roads, the buildings, the water the electricity, the other things I forget to mention because in this wonderful country I live in I forget it’s via the work of the productive that I enjoy the livelihood I enjoy.
Because Trudeau has been spending money like no prime minister in Canadian history and because most people are hearing the words of free money, the euphoric reaction a lot of Leftists are having right now is why didn’t we think of this sooner. People are staying home and things appear to be business as usual, so why not make this the new normal? LoL!
First of all the markets are down, and asset prices are having to be propped up by central banks so the people who maintain our standard of living don’t simply walk away from their assets. A lot of humans have specialized skills, that in a time of economic crisis they could genuinely charge an inflated price for.
People who work, especially people in the private sector don’t exist to be the slaves of people who want to enjoy a Universal Basic Income. Norway has already tried Universal Basic Income during an economically prosperous period in their history and they got rid of it. We’re currently in a deflation economic environment, and people genuinely think that a universal basic income is the answer? Are we being serious here!
I’m not opposed to it, to be honest, I’m a believer that sometimes countries, societies people simply have to learn things the hard way. I think Canada has reached the point in which Leftists feel all-powerful, they feel they’ve won the economic war and well, I’ve already come to grips with the reality that if you live in Canada, consider preparing yourself accordingly.
Today we are calling for immediate help for all Canadians:
1) IMMEDIATE DIRECT HELP: Sending $2,000 with an additional $250 per child directly to all Canadians (Universal Basic Income)
2) FIRING FREEZE: Giving employers more than 75% in a wage subsidy to keep people employed
