Wavee.com Review Is It a Scam
A brief explanation about online penny auction websites is they work a little bit differently from traditional auction websites. In a traditional auction website only the winning bidder has to pa for the price of the item. Also in regular auction sites the items are typically not being delivered from the owner of the auction site instead they are typically owned by everyday people. That being said lets talk about Penny Auction websites. Penny Auction websites work differently its very similar to gambling because with penny auction websites you have to purchase NON REFUNDABLE credits.
Purchasing Wavee.com Credits
Once you’ve purchased these non refundable credits you have to bid now with a penny auction website every bid you make costs you a credit, remember that credits cost you money and credits are non refundable this is why you will hear many people comparing penny auctions websites to gambling.
As we know in an auction there can only be one winner that being said the bigger the penny auction site gets the more money it makes and the harder it becomes for people to actually win something. On side of this fact in the case of Wavee.com they make it clear that if you lose an auction you can still use the credits you lost with and apply it to the their actual price of the item.
As you can clearly see this is obviously how Wavve.com and other penny auction websites will make majority of their profits. Also the bigger Wavee.com gets the lower the chances for people to win something and the higher the amount of money Wavee.com makes.
Another thing i am noticing is complaints from people in the amount of $179. People are getting surprise charges on their credit cards in the amount of $179 this is what i am hear allot about. I can’t confirm this because i refuse to sign up for wavee.com but if this is the case i am advising the public to stay away. I write this posts mainly for education purposes i don’t lke people telling me what to do so i won’t tell you i just hope to educate you in to what you are getting yourself into.
Wavee.com a new model for Auction Websites?
Wavee.com and penny auction websites like it are definite new models business. I wouldn’t call it a scam but i personally would not get involved in it. The appeal is obvious we are currently in a recession and seeing the item you want for pennies would definitely make a person curious to try it out. When talking about online penny auctions its always been my fear that the game is rigged. either by a person or by the software. I am not in anyway accusing Wavee.com of doing this but it’s something i think about personally.
Another thing rarely discussed with penny auction websites like Wavee.com is how time consuming penny auction websites can be. If you ever get a chance listen to the stories of the average winners of penny auction sites. Many times these people spent entire days or weeks on the penny auction sites many times spending more money on buying credits losing than it took them to win. Most winners won’t tell their entire stories they will only tell you that they finally won. Again the bigger the penny auction website gets the more money the penny auction site makes.
If you want to sign up with Wavee.com don’t let me stop you just don’t say i didn’t warn you.
Please leave your comments or experiences with Wavee.com below it helps others
for those of you who have been scammed and for those of you who are about to be scammed, first of all, when you hear of something that is a PROVEN SUCCESS then you know it is legitimate. example: how many people do you actually know who tried and succeded on ANY such opportunity? none you say? ask yourself why not? if an opportunity as great as these scams sound are true don’t you think EVERYBODY on this planet would benefit from such a great thing? i would dare say that the best way to win at these so called opportunities is by investing in stocks for these businesses. that is where the money is at. i will be looking into that arena . will post with a positive or negative report soon. please beware of all garbage on the internet. investigate sites first before clicking on anything first. from a concerned reader.
WAVEE —SCAM WEBSITE FOR SURE!!!
omg they ripped me off 75.00 how can i get it back it never stated they was gonna charge me its already taken out of my debit card will my bank refund it ? email me please [email protected] is there a number i can call
hi this message if for Ruth visit https://www.wavee.com/support/index/type/faq
it may not be a scam for the winner of the auction, but it’s certainly a scam by wavee itself.
consider this:
i’m watching the auction of an HP desktop with a listed price of $814.95.
as i watch, the bidding is now up to about $275 which represents 27,500 bids of .01 each.
if the bidding were to end at $275 of course the winner has received a great bargain.
HOWEVER $275 (equal to 27,500 bids of .01 each) means that
wavee has been paid approx $.75 for each of those 27,500 bids which amounts to about 20+k for a computer whose market value is only $814.95.
who’s been scammed???? those suckers who were willing to .75 for each they were making and lost on the bidding.
tell me where i’m wrong.
(and i’m not accusing wavee of doing anything illegal. smart on their part, dumb on the part of the losers who didn’t win the bid)
AFTER LOOKING AT WAVEE AND ENTERING MY CREDIT CARD INFO. AND THEN DECIDING TO CANCEL IT TOOKE TNE INFORMATION BEFORE I CHECKED THE BOX AGREEING TO ACCEPT THERE TERMS.
CALLED THIS MORNING AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY BECAUSE I BID ON CREDIT’S. I DIDN’T BID ON ANYTHING AND THEY REFUSE TO CREDIT MY CARD BACK $75.00. I AM LOOKING FOR A FLIGHT SO I CAN SEE IF I GET THE SAME SERVICE IN PERSON. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE.
Yes, Wavee is an absolute scam. You are correct in your calculations, Joe W. If an item that has a retail value of $800.00 sells on Wavee for $185.00, then Wavee has sold that item for a grand total of $13,875.00 (18,500 bids at .01 each x .75 per bid). This is a major rip-off for anyone that signs up for the service.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE
WOW! the power of greed on both sides of the fence, those who want to get products for almost nothing, give more than they hoped. Those who take advantage of peoples needy weakness. This exploits moral of the story; (Try to grab air to only blow wind.) Wavee.com legally! down the road courts will make you change your system. Be Fair! we take chances with companies like yours everyday to make our lives alittle easier i know your rich. Now return the favor.
I experienced the same problem with regards to them charging my account $75.00. Same day first call: Jasmine the rep. informed me of the same nonsense that’s been mentioned above. Argued the point, she put me on hold, which eventually disconnected. Called back immediately got a different rep. and got right to the point…and added, if I don’t get my $75.00 back I am prepared to call the Attorney General of (State) and file a complaint against Wavee. Put me on hold and returned to tell me they would refund $37.50. I told her that was unacceptable and they had two choices. Refund the entire $75.00 or I would start dialing the AG. I had the number in front of me and mentioned the AG’s name. What do you want to do? I was put on old and within one minute I was told that I would be credited the $75.00. I have been credited the $75.00. My advise to all of you is to not step back, but step forward and tell people what is acceptable and what isn’t and don’t back down. I was fully prepared to file a complaint. Quite frankly, not only with my State AG but also with the Federal AG.
I felt like this was a scam. When I called my credit card company they said they would do nothing about it since it was a legitimate charge. The way I read it, I had to put in my credit card information in order to see how it worked. I did not see anywhere that I would be charged any money, only when and if I would bid on something. I never did bid on anything, but was charged the $75.00. I understand if something is not refundable if one is to bid on an item, but when a person doesn’t bid on anything, then it is a rip off. So then I am believing the credit card companies are getting some type of kickback. Is that rght Commerce?

I seem to be one of the few that understood what I was getting into. I did win an auction item Dec. 1,2010. Here lies my problem though. The item processing has been extended twice now. My last two emails have not been answered, and phone support is a joke. Like a few other people, my next step will be contacting the Atlanta BBB. They have helped a few others lately.
I feel utterly STUPID that I have been duped, and ignored by Wavee.com! Lessoned learned, but it’s obvious to me that AFTER the fact of finding this website, that how can so many people MISS something that states they will be charged 75.00 immediatley? I NEVER saw such a statement, and at the time found it odd that I had to put in my debit card info. I should have listened to myself! I quickly put in a ‘ticket’ and they responded back quickly with an offer of 37.50 and keep all the credits. They ask that I would confirm and accept this offer via a reply back. A week later and countless tickets and emails to confirm MY request for confirmation of MY acceptance…NOTTA, nothing, no reply AT ALL! I feel equally sorry for everyone of us, because we are educated people I feel. I really thought after my swift reply from them that they would follow thru with their process. They should be shut down immediately, especially since countless people are dreaming of a good deal in this economy! I once was a supervisor at a call center who ‘fielded’ calls for a company called broadbandoffers.com. The customer service was hired by the company, but not employed by the company. We would get countless tickets complaining of not receiving product, not receiving rebates, not receiving credits. BUT our hands were tied, and literally had to lie to customers about, missed ups deliveries, customers not sending in the right information for rebates. When actually it was a stall tactic. We would have NO idea what was going on in all fairness! We would report the issues to the company, who by the way, were in another state, and they would tell us what to say via email or by call, if and when the customer had the patience to call back. Needless to say I left that position because I felt bad for any and everyone I had to talk to. These type of companies exist, and will probably continue to exist unless a lawsuit is made! The BBB is a start, that normally expedites the issue, it always did with broadbandoffers!
WAVEE is SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
charge me $75 for nothing, I can’t belive FBI didn’t catch them yet.
WATCH OUTTTT, YOU WILL BE CHARGE $75 if you visit this websit >>> SCAM <<<
Don’t join wavee penny auction all they are is modern crooks .They charge your credit card and I didn’t know they did that untill I went to my mail box and saw the bill.So since they say that its nonrefundable i bid all the credits and won a fool on the end of a mouse (me) I might have just as well gave it to them.
I hope soon that the word spreads far and fast and eventually these sites will be forced to shut down.
I have been trying to get in contact with the phone number that is listed on my bank statement, but no luck… it is saying that the mail box is full and to try again.. does anyone have a contact number.
I AM THE BIGGEST IDIOT AND SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THIS WEBSITE. ONLY TOOK ME 2 MINUTES TO LOOSE $90.00. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO ADDRESS THIS COMPANY? BBB, ATTORNEY GENERAL, TV STATION, CLARK HOWARD. WE NEED TO GET EVEN!!!!!
I WAS ALSO SCAMMMED OUT OF 75.00 WISH I HAD READ THIS BEFORE I EVEN LOOKED AT THE SITE. THIS COMPANY SHOULD REALLY BE INVESTICATED. I AM WONDERING HOW MANY HAS BEEN CHARGED THIS AMOUNT WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT. WHEN I NOTICED I HAD BEEN CHARGED I TRIED TO BID BUT SOON DISCOVERED THAT I WOULD PROBABLY HAVE TO BUY MORE 75 DOLLARS BIDS TO GET EVEN A 30 DOLLAR ITEM. SCAM SCAM SCAM IS ALL I HAVE LEFT TO SAY
Wayvee and other Penny Autions are a SCAM. I was also charged $75 for nothing.
Thanks for the comments. Saved me a ton of headaches. “If it is too good to be true, then it probably is.”
I read, I understood, but like a dummy I bid. At 77 bucks I realized what a stupid thing I was doing. I guess I’ll have to pay. My fault. I do feel ripped off.
I’m sorry i ever signed-in to the wavee site. All i did was sign in to see what it was all about. Supposedly was on some trial page, (not even the main page) What a bunch of bologna. Got the $75.00 charge, to buy credits i didn’t even authorise. Now got to fight it out with BBB and attorney general. BEWARE, don’t even register with this, cause once they have your info, they got ya.
Wavee is the worst kind of buyer fraud, they recieve money with no expectation of providing a service. This is truly a too good to be true offer. The most important aspect of this scam is the site which will carry ads for Wavee, they have no interest in the buyer and the product the buyer recieves. The site where you were first exposed is the place to show your disapproval, dont visit the sites advertised. No hits-no money, it’s as simple as that.
FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT KNOW YOU MADE A PURCHASE:
I believe you’ve clicked on the advertising link or something…
Because if you go to Wavee’s ACTUAL website, http://www.Wavee.com, there is a “Sign Up Now”, that allows you to sign up for free (that’s how I signed up for free). And then you can buy credits separately. Somewhere on the page does state that the credits are not refundable. I remember because I was thinking to buy 300 credits, which is a lot!
So, my suggestion is that, in the future, go check out company’s actual website before submitting CREDIT CARD INFO… those advertising links that shows in Google or wherever have too much information where you might have misread the IMPORTANT INFO, like “you are actually purchasing something when you enter your CC info….”
Be a smart consumer.
Wavee is corrupt. For over a month, I’ve been waiting for a $75.00 refund that was promised in 7-10 days.
DO NOT give this company your money! They are making millions off of your hard-earned money.
I regret falling for this scam because I consider myself a savvy consumer and can usually spot bad apples.
I recommend to anyone desiring a refund to file a complaint with the BBB. Wavee only has a D+ with them, small wonder.
Do not ever us this site! I have tried to use the credits (cost$179.00) for two mounts. So far wavee will not even let me sign in! I will join everyone in the BBB line!
@Ronald Chickillo, why didn’t you call them in the past 2 months? I don’t think BBB is going to do anything if you didn’t even try to resolve the issue with Wavee first… lol
@Neal, agree with you on “Sign Up Now” for free and advertising links. It is FREE to sign up. But it is NOT free when you put in your creditcard # at the advertising links, which shows that it charges $75.
@Evie, when I joined Wavee 2 or 3 months ago, I checked BBB, they had A- for a while… haha not sure what happened now…:)
I discover this wavee.com a couple days ago and of course I got tempted to sign up but for some reason did nor enter my card #. today I got in the computer to research if there were any reviews. thank God I din’t sign up but I really wanted that lcd tv.
My story seemed like a pleasant one at first. I purchased 80 credits for $48.00 and then won two auctions for more credits that cost me another 12 cents. I then won two $25 gift cards for 7 cents and $2.18 respectively. When I felt I had the hang of this penny auction thing, I went to bid on the Wii game I wanted. I won a bot war in the process of the auction which put the “Buy Now” price down 50%. I did not win the auction put clicked on “Buy Now” to purchase it for $26.49. This all happened on November 25th. I received the email with the link for the gift cards within the 7-10 days they say to expect. I was able to pick the ones I wanted and received them in the mail within days. All was going good.
Then I patiently waited for the Wii game to be delivered. I knew the site mentioned to expect shipment within 2-3 weeks and then 2-4 days for delivery. After over a month of waiting, I used the online support to lodge a complaint and ask for shipment of the product and a tracking number. The person assigned to my complaint replied with “Hello, Thank you for contacting Wavee Support. We apologize for the delay in shipping. Due to increasingly high holiday demand, your product has experienced a short delay. You product will ship in due course, but if you would rather us issue you an immediate refund, we completely understand. Once shipped, your order should arrive in 2-4 business days. Visit the “My Wavee” Tab (after you have logged-in) and click Order History. You can monitor the Tracking Number and shipping information there. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Wavee Support”
That was 3 weeks ago and still no product. I have reopened my complaint two times with it being immediately closed and listed as solved without any additional comment or response.
So, if I had received my product, I would have been happy with my purchases worth over $100 for the price I paid Wavee of $76.82
Found the site while searching to buy a camera, thought I would sign-up to take a look. before I knew it I was charged $75.00 for buying points that I didnt click on. Left that page and went to customer service and left several emails and received no info back. When I read some other information which lead me to this page where I am leaving my comments. So, I just blew $75.00 and its not refundable.. the site did not ask me to validate the charge either.
yes, I too got scrammmm from Wavee.com, i needed computer for cheap deal.
I’m been out of work for over a year and needed a computer to look web set for job and to support a family to care. BBB should looked into shut dowm a company like Wavee.comand refund the money. I feel very stupid, and fulled for it. Shammmme on you WAVEE!
I’m so glad I came to this website before completing my log-in information for Wavee. The $75 is shown on step two where you are supposed to enter your information like a credit card, but I didn’t even notice it until reading everyone’s complaints here. I’m not ready to plunk down $75 just to get 120 bid points. Wavee really isn’t doing anything illegal that I can tell. They may make $20K to sell an object worth only $3K, but this is spread out amongst hundreds of buyers who don’t feel the pinch (one hopes) in spending a few dollars for an opportunity of huge savings. HOWEVER, one hopes that they are honest and don’t have a few shills in the audience (so to speak) that are also bidding to instill panic and urge multiple buyers to bid further at $0.75 cents a pop.
I can’t believe I did this. They not only charged me for two sets of credits, when I was only dumb enough to buy two, but just as others have said, they don’t respond to comments. They just figure you’ll go away. I’m so annoyed. I wish someone would go after them. What no one’s mentioned is that even if you are the last bidder, you can end up paying twice or even three times the retail value of the product, even though your the last bid says “$12.75.” They don’t tell you how many people have bid already, but they add a per bid charge to each auction which is added to the final cost. So if 10,000 other bids were made before you, you will end up paying for them in your final total. This is unconscionable. I wish some lawyer would start a class action against these scammers.
there will always be a kind scam in action websites(In my oppinion), it does not neccesarily have to be hidden on the instructions they give you before singing up.always have in mind that this people (who ever they might be) are just smart people, who know the way to get people’s money into their accounts. BE AWARE!!!!
Yes I agree wavee is a scam. I to thought it was a good deal only .75 a bin i didnt know they charge your credit card for credits to bin which is 75.00. I called to get my money back which they would not refound me. I would stay away from the website. Its not worth it.^

I got my 3 giftcards within 10days. Everything was fine. The links worked, no problem using the giftcards.
I just “Bid to buy” an iPod shuffle 2 weeks ago… I wonder when I will get it
Wavee charges $75 right when you sign up so I think most people do not pay attention when signing up.
RIP OFF, $75.00 CHARGE FOR FILLING OUT MY NAME!!!LONG STORY SHORT CALLED CC COMPANY TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT IT, CALLED WAVEE AND SCREAMED A COMPLAINT, SHE PRETTY MUCH SAID I DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO READ, SO I GUESS ALL OF US ON THIS WEBPAGE DON’T KNOW HOW TO READ….. CONTACTING THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AS I TOLD HER I WAS GOING TO DO, SHE PUT ME ON HOLD AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD REFUND MY MONEY IN 5-7 DAYS WE SHALL SEE!!!!! SCAMMM CONTACTING TV CHANNEL THAT PUT THEM ON THE AIR ALSO.
I’m sorry, I had to chime in. I just signed up on their website (read: wavee.com, then clicked to “sign up”) and it didn’t ask me to put in cc info at all. Granted, I have ZERO credits, but the option to purchase is right there, plain as day, everything in black-and-white so to speak.
@Hezz YES, you need to read. I’m not implying that you CANNOT read but take the time to go through the terms of service and ALWAYS double check EVERYTHING when you are about to input your cc information online.
People feel slighted when they are surprised and foolish, and we as a people, are more vocal when something is negative rather then positive (talk to ANYONE in the customer service industry and they’ll tell you it’s true.)
Feel free to contact them and try to get your money back, but don’t bother trying the Attorney General or the BBB, they aren’t doing anything illegal or even immoral.
Hey Guys everyone says wavee is a scam is it really though?? I was a bout to sigh up then i read theses reviews and it sounds terrible. WAVEE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wavee needs to be shut down
Only Karl Marx gave clear explanations about people like these wavee folks: I will do anything for the money…….
Junderstand wavees penny bid and was willing to rish the $75.00 start up cost BUT@!!! when you win an item on Nov. 23rd and it says in therediscloser that it takes 2 to 3 weeks to recive what you buy and its January 21 and you fianly get an operator to talk to and they tell you it has been shiped to them and i have to wait for them to send it to me in another 3 to 4 days! BUT again! The original ship date was on there site aas Dec 22nd then Jan 6th. Some Christmas gift!!! Will i get this item before July 4th?? Just know when you buy dont expect to get it in any REASONABLE leanth of time!
I got scammed last night. They loaded my credit card with 75.00 in credit w/out my approval. Since i couldn’t take it off ; I played. Not once but twice ;the time ran out and I was the last bid processing popped up and it started the bids again. I’d like to know how and where to complain to the government about this website. 4Hat
Well, where do I leave my donation for joining the club folks!!! I too, just checked my credit card activity. Yup, they got me for $89!!! So I just went back through the sign up process to see where they get ya. We’re all to used to giving a credit card so that it’s on file with a store online. These guys have a little tiny area on the left that says we’re signing up for 80 credits, on this 2nd visit. I’d guess that changes. The big title at the top of the personal andd credit card fields says “Where Can We Send the Items you Win” BS…. They’re sending a BILL!!!! I’m gong to see if the credit car company will fight them. I’m embarrassed and PISSED!!!
It is a scam in the first order……..
A true scam. Lost 75 dollars. No where did it say I would be charged 75 dollars for signing up. A customer support person states that it is very clearly delineated that you will be charged 75$ when you sign up. Not true!! There is no such statement!
Let me assure you it is a scam. After bidding on an item, I discovered when I looked at another item I had previously bid on my ID showed as a recent bidder and the $ point on both items was identical. Curious – huh!
I checked this several times and always came back with the same info. If I watched an item and bid on another, my ID showed as bidding on both! Same bidders showing on both items – really coincidental.
Who ever signs up for wavee is a fool it’s a scam! They charge u 75 dollars for signing up and don’t tell u till u get the bill receipt . Emailed them and complained even called and complained they said 7 to 14 days for refund, we will see they should b shut done this country is goin to shit if it allows businesses like this to operate
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
DUMP people who don’t READ CAREFULLY ===> then BLAMING on others
I’ve been a customer service rep for many years… I know what’s going on with you customers. You DON’T ask you to put in your CC# when you click into its “Sign up” button. Only after you signed up, they prompted you the option to purchase credits. It’s Black and white.
Again, LOL to all of you who don’t read/think before submitting your CC#.
@ Bobby, I think you misunderstood Wavee’s bidding system. You get to choose the item you want from the variety choices within a single auction. The bidders you see while clicking onto other items are in the SAME auction as you, just that they chose another item. It’s confusing, I had to call customer service to have them explain to me… haha…
i just see how my friend looses $75 Dl. wavee.com have no future, you have to wait your entire life inside there, just to see how a item will rise one cent every 20 secs!!!! and you’r paying 0.75 for each time you bid!! WTF the worse bidding system ever! and watch out for other page call bidhere.com is the same sh..
wavee is 100% scam. i spent 30$ and i win 4 items but i never receive my items. i e-mail them but they never answer that prove that wavee is 10000000% FAKE
I accidentally pushed a buy button instead of a bid button my first time on wavee. I have contacted the sales rep and I was told the matter would be dealt with in 2-3 days. It’s day 4, I once again contacted a wavee representaive and have had no response re: my dilemma. Good luck to those who contine to bid. When I tried to google it, the reviews weren’t great.
I agreed with one person about how customer’s NEED 2 READ Sh%$ before pluggin their CC information. I recommend placing the blame on DUMB-A** people who are trigger happy about things they really don’t need.

I won an item on Wavee, and it’s been 12 weeks and I have recieved nothing! They can’t explain where it is or if they even have the item. This is a SCAM!
I ordered some items with the bid to buy at the begining of december. Still processing… Has anyone recieved an item from wavee?
I win 3 bids in November and still waiting for delivery. I even told them I believed they were scammers, and the response was unbelievable. “Would we answer the phone if we were scammers?” They continually tell me that I can get a refund, but I insist on receiving the goods. I will probably be waiting until hell freezes over before I receive anything. Wavee is definitely a scam.
Wavee is definitely a scam I have been waiting for delivery of my 3 items I won in November, and have tried several calls and emails to receive my items. I accused them of being a scam and the ridiculous person on the other end of the phone said “Would we answer the phone if we were scammers?” Well, yes….
I too was a victim of wavee scam…they never respond to emails written, I “won” an item Dec 12 and still haven’t received it, they double charged my credit card when I didn’t log right on and pay for items won and then refused to refund or respond when I emailed them…its fun to bid but you never win
Sounds to me like there are enough people to file a class action law suit. I won items over 2 months ago and still haven’t received them. Have contacted them multiple times as well.
I also won an item over a month ago and it still says that it’s processing. I’ve e-mailed their support team but haven’t had a response is over a week. I say lawsuit!
I like many of you have gone through the gauntlet of wavee, and experienced all the problems I see many of you have to. I also see much talk of a class action law suit ,but nothing started.I am going to do some further investigating on this matter, and will return back to this site soon. Lets get this thing going. put your foot down people, lets put a stop to this now!!!!!!!!!!! p.s. will return to this site soon
I too have been scammed. Won an auction 12/7 and never rec’d item. Emailed customer service twice, no response. I finally got thru on the phone and was told it was being processed and I would get tracking # soon, it is being shipped. Next day I get an email saying they voided that auction because of website problems and they refunded by credits. I don’t want the credits, I want the item I won! I spent a lot of time and credits trying to win. I guess they didn’t think I paid enought for it and that’s why it was voided. BEWARE, DO NOT JOIN WAVEE!
I received an email that the items I won on November was voided, they returned my bidding credit, but did not say they will refund the money I paid for the items I won. I tried to file a complaint on Friday, but I have to sign up to file a complaint. As of now, Monday, I still have not receive signing up confirmation email to complete my complaint.
Wavee What a scam!! I got the deal of the centery on a 32 gig ITOUCH $12.11!!!!! what a deal!! That was nov 23rd. On december 23rd it would be shipped in a few days even though it showed a december 6th expected ship date!! On jan6th it showed it was to be shipped on Jan 27th they tell me on the phone 3 to 4 buissness days that they had recieved the item! today!!! Jan 32st i get an email that they voided the transaction and refunded my money and the credits!! Tha account rep told me on the phone that theres nothing else can be dont thats the way it is!! Is that the way auctions work? if i dont get enough out of the item i just wait a month and then void the deal??? Hey wavee i wanna sell you a few things!!!
@ Kavasky – Dumb is spelled DUMB not dumP! And Wavee may not be a total scam, but it is a total rip off. I purchased 60 credits and won 3 30 credit auctions ($1.99 processing fee added when you pay for the credit auctions)! Spent 2 weeks scrupulously bidding only at the last second and allowing bidding wars to go on as long as they managed to get the bid in prior to 1 second. Believe me you will spend a lot of money (better buys on regular auctions) on these penny auctions winning and the time you will invest is phenomenal! They are making an average of $750 on every $10 worth of bids on EACH auction. That means they raked in $3,750 (ave) on a $50 auction. It is sad, but the more members, the less chance in winning and most will end up frustrated at spending a lot of $ for nothing!
@ Kavasky – You should be ashamed for condemning “trusting” people! I’m not saying that individuals should not use caution when entering any agreement involving the exchange of money, but to poke and jeer at them is ludicrous! It is terribly sad to see that there are so many scams to bilk people out of a quick dollar instead of giving fair service for fair rewards. It is a disease that is rampant in our society today! It would be a Godsend to see more working harder to give sincere service in a kinder society (pipe dreams)! I shudder to think that I should ever have to deal with a customer service representative with the likes of you!
A review of your complaint indicates this transaction was conducted on-line and, as such, you may want to report your information to the Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://www.ic3.gov. Everyone report Wavee!
They have cheated me out of 9 auction wins!

Felt cheated by Wavee. Wavee compares itself to ebay and amzon.
Misleads you into thinking you are only registering for the first time.
How many of us really read every word of the terms and conditions.
Click submit you get charged. No warning message or review that you are going to be charged. I got a charge for $89. How did Wavee decide to charge $89 and not $5 or $100?. Wavee decides the amount and not you. Called Wavee, the person on phone said he was the supervisor. Told him I would go to BBB and AG. Refused refund. Asked him to close account. He says I loose all 150 credits. I lost those but lesson learned. complained to BBB and Georgia Governer’s Ofiice of Consumer Affairs.
My guess is that most of the above complaints are the result of not reviewing the site before handing over CC#. If you had read the FAQ’s and How it works pages, you would have been aware that signing up = purchasing credits. However, I too was somewhat taken aback, when I wasn’t given the option of how many credits I could purchase….I was not charged $75. I was only charged $48 and received 80 credits. Yes, that’s .75 per credit. However, those of you who are calculating Wavee’s profits per item, are not quite accurate. Since the 80 credits, I have bid on credit packages, taking my average bid price down to .10. My costs are probably typical for other bidders. I have won a few items. I checked my order history after paying for the auctions and the estimated shipping date is posted. However, the auction I won in early Dec won’t be shipping until early Feb. I’ve done some investigating and while its a little longer than some sites, it’s not unusual for penny auction sites to have lengthy shipping cycles. I’ll let you know if I get the item that should have shipped yesterday.
Wavee is a total ripoff! They advertised a $1000 Visa gift card, but after 24 hours of bidding and $350 invested – I was willing to spend $500 for a $1000 gift card – their site had technical difficulties and bounced me out of bidding and a robot won the item. They acknowledged their technical glitch but refused to compensate me with a refund or even with the opportunity to purchase the gift card at the ending price. I spoke with 5 different representatives, including a supervisor and each person was ruder than the previous. They refused to compensate me for their system’s error with a refund. One rep laughed at me and hung up on me. STAY AWAY FROM USING THIS RIP OFF GAMBLING SITE – THERE ARE NO WINNERS HERE!
wow! I finally received my laptop after 2 months!
Great Linda, Sure glad it wasn’t one of the 1000’s of auction wins that were voided 2 months later due to (so called) technical difficulties. Wavee.CON voided 4 of my wins and canceled 5 more although they said they would ship. I am still waiting on 4 wins, but not holding my breath.
ok, I am a sucker, but I did think that when I bought something I would actually get it! I lost the auction, but used the credits to purchase the item on DEC 20. Was told the ship date was FEB 2 (WTF???) but, OK, but now it is the 10th and no indication that it has been shipped or ever will be and I haven’t gotten a response from WAVEE.
Stay away from these guys. It is a total rip-off.
It is not a scam if you are an informed consumer. I have been on the site several times. Yes, they are making a FORTUNE off of us but the customers do get great deals. You have to UNDERSTAND how it works. When bidding, you must decide upfront how much you are willing to lose in case you don’t win. Yep, I bolted after investing 20 bucks on a PS3. However, I won & paid for the MacBook Pro that I am writing this on for only $113 and bought an External terabyte Hard Drive for $11. It is a brilliant model that I wish I had come up with.
DONT USE WAVEE, BIGGEST SCAM EVER, THEY WILL NEVER SHIP OUT ANYTHING, WASTED MY TIME MONEY AND EVERYTHING, AND THEY VOIDED MY ORDER DUE TO TECHNICAL ERROR, WE LIVE IN THE 2011, AUCTION IS LIKE GAMBLING, ONCE YOU WIN YOU WIN, YOU CAN NOT GO BACK AND WIN THE SAME AMOUNT, I WAS THREATNED BY A AGENT BY NAME OF GAY THAT HE IS BOSS, AND WE HAVE REFUNDED THE CREDIT PLAY SMART YOU MIGHT WIN AGAIN, AND HE SAID THERE’S NOTHING HE CAN DO AND CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT TOO, I HAVE FILED A COMPLAIN WITH BBB AND FILING A LAW SUIT.
WELL I UNDERSTAND IT’S COMSUMER FAULT TO GO ON AUCTION SITES, I DON’T BIDDING AND LOOSING MY MONEY BUT IF I WIN SOMETHING I WANT MY ITEMS, IT’S ILLLEGAL TO VOID MY ORDER WITHOUT INFORMING ME.
I won a TV on 12/10 and I just received it last night… what a painful wait! Good thing I got a really good deal out of it.
FYI, yelling at the reps don’t expedite the process anymore, trust me I tried. I didn’t want to get a refund because I do want the TV.
I’m waiting for my digital camera that I won on 12/31……. sighhhhhh
Wavee is THE WORSE AUCTION SITE IN THE WORLD. There are some good ones so do your homework. But dont waste your time or money on WAVEE, they truly give the penny auctions a bad name.
DONT USE WAVEE, BIGGEST SCAM EVER,THEY MAKE A LOT OF MANY WITH YOUR FUNDS,
IN GERMAN WE SAY “FINGER WEG” THAT MEANS DON’T TOUCH IT. YOU BUY CREDITS FROM THEM TO BE ABLE TO BID THOSE CREDITS ARE USED UP QUICKLY DON’T DO IT!
I TRIED TO BID FOR A CAMERA THE BIDING STARTED 3 DAYS AGO AND IS NEVER ENDING AND IS STILL GOING ON, YOU HAVE TO BUY MORE AND MORE CREDITS FOR A USELES AUCTION ONLY FOR THEM TO MAKE 100 FOLD OF THE VALUE OF THE PIECE THAT IS AUCTIONED.
Hello, this week wavee took $48 from me and I called them but they refuse to refund my money back. I was soo mad! I then contact my bank and told them about my issues yesterday. The bank will be sending me a new card and they put $48 back into my account. I contact Wavee again to close my wavee account.

I agree that one should always read “terms and conditions,” but Wavee’s are deliberately misleading. Within hours after I “joined” I wrote requesting cancellation. They refused to cancel and refund my $75, and continue to do so. I claimed “buyer’s remorse,” but their representative said they were not bound by that law.
BEWARE… WAVEE is a SCAM!
They work in a different way. They have a unique style of cheating. See this –
1. I won several auctions on Wavee.
2. They haven’t shipped me items won more than 4 months back!
3. They “voided” 13 of my won auctions saying there was some technical problem during those auctions.
4. They purposefully permit improper use by some users (such as collusion) for several months (even after complaints from other users) and finally close their accounts and void their auctions. Thus, regular users loose bids against the fraud users and fraud users don’t get any items. Double win for Wavee!
I don’t think that Wavee does any direct fraud like making multiple charges on credit cards etc. But they loot the customers indirectly.
Please do not join this new scam. I was a victim too.
Wanna see a bunch of idiots? Visit this link and click ‘Wavee Team’ 🙂
Go to the BBB web site and file a complaint as I just did. http://www.bbb.org/us/Find-Business-Reviews/ Where it asks for business name, enter Wavee US, LLC . If everybody who was ripped off did that, maybe their web site will be shut down. Couple of days ago I wanted to check out Wavee.com penny auction site so I went ahead and registered with them. Filled out their form entering my name, address and also credit card number. I wasn’t surprised that they’ve asked for my cc number, I thought they will need it when/if I’ll buy / win something from their site. Next thing I know is that my visa was charged for $89.00 without any order taking place, without any verification or approval. I did not order nor purchased anything, all I did was clicked the “Continue” button on their site after registering. They refuse to refund me the $89 they are saying I must’ve clicked the “I agree” button which I have not. Now (when it’s too late) I am checking out their reviews on the net and hundreds of people are complaining that the same happened to them too. This is a ripoff, this is a criminal act, this is FRAUD and should be punished. After I’ve sent them an email they are offering a 50% refund (as they do to everybody else as I’ve read on the internet). I will contact the FBI, their local Attorney General’s Office, their local Governor and will file a criminal charge against them. Everybody should contact the above authorities and try everything in our power to shut this fraudulent company down.
Ok. I’m a curious person. Yes, I signed up for Wavee dot com approximately 2 2 11. I like auctions. However, this one took me into a spin. This buying credits which are supposed to apply towards ??? I didn’t win but I wanted to item. I ended up paying for the credits and separately for the purchase of the item. I didn’t “win.” Now I’m just trying to get the purchased item. The site is stating an estimated shipping date of 4/13/11??? Why? I did submit a ticket requesting my purchased item “quickly.” Don’t know if I receive a response. I’ll complain. I don’t think this site is worth the effort and I don’t like the double edged policy….
Oh boy, I feel foolish. I went into this site’s comments history. Way too many people complaining about Wavee. I was naive. I didn’t do my research first to check if this site if it was a scam company or not. If I don’t receive my purchased item “quickly” I will file with:
Internet Crime Center http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Texas Ofc of Attorney General Consumer Division etc.
Federal Trade Commission (the nation’s consumter protection agency) https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/
Maybe armed with all these sites Wavee will send me my purchased item, otherwise… we’ll see.
It said in the beginning that you will not loose anything, but that is a big fat lie. Before I knew what was going on and I did not do a check out on this web site, I lost $89.00. I sent them an e-mail the next day when I saw my checking account and ask for help on understanding what happened and got no help. Now I try to login to the site and they say that I am not using the right information. So they have locked me out.
5 Items down, 2 more to go! Estimated shipping date 4/15/11. Please make sure Wavee will continue to ship the 2 items to me then I will be happy. Amen!
I want to thank you all for your comments. I was going to sign up for wavee.com to buy my wife a b-day gift, and now i know that it is not a safe site. Thank You All
@John KT, LOL, it is sort of like a battle field. But I just finished mine. Just got my last item from Wavee 2 days ago. Thank Lord!
still waiting for item to ship from before Christmas… estimated ship date moved again to 3/22.
For all those comments about not reading and that they are fools, shame on you. I am very familiar with auctions of all types…I attend live auctions, online auctions, etc… I have bought furniture, jewelry and computer systems valued in the thousands for pennies on the dollar. So there are good deals out there, it has nothing to do with being greedy. Everyone wants a good deal. Granted the penny-auctions are new, one should always go into it knowing full and well that the expectations should be. I was lucky enough to win a Kindle. I paid immediately. That’s what you do when you win. PAY AND GET YOUR ITEM…SIMPLE. What boggles the mind is how they have the audacity to keep pushing and pushing the processing date. Now the date they say they will be mailing it to me is 5/21…before that is was April 30. Has anyone ever gotten their item? I won the item on Feb 23rd. Just out of sheer curiosity I wonder if they will ever fulfill their end of the deal.
